Here is a childhood favorite of mine. My mom used to make these when I was a kid. They are super easy to make and fun to boot. Here are the ingredients:
– Ritz Crackers
– Fudge Stripe Cookies
– Candy Corns
– Roche Chocolates (or similar)
– Chocolate Icing (assemble the cookie with the chocolate icing)
I couldn’t find the correct body, which should be a Cream Drop. They are much less expensive than a Roche chocolate. You can get creative with what you can find in your area. I live on an island with no Wal-Mart or Target, hence the Roche! Maybe we call this version the city slicker turkey? If you wanted to make a sophisticated version of this, you could handmade the crackers and the cookie for the tail. You could even pipe the beak. But if you have kids and want to share a holiday food craft with them, the above ingredients work and are handy at the grocery store.
We hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
