There is something so beautiful about the patina of a well used vintage pie pan. The marks of use just further my curiosity of what was made in them and who owned them. There is such a variety out there, so the possibilities are endless. We’ve found pie pans with punched hole patterns, advertising pressed into the bottoms and even the ones that help you separate the pies from the pan. I personally like to use what we buy, but these can make a dramatic statement if they are hung on the wall as art.
If you plan to use them, scrub them well and then coat them with a little oil and put them in the oven for about 30 min at around 375°. Let it cool then gently wash, it will be good as new and more nonstick.
Keep your eyes peeled for these finds so you can make your holiday pies with personality!
