This recipe has three things going for it: a recommendation, pumpkin and Donna Hay. The other night I was trolling the internet for a little dinner inspiration. Fall is upon us, so I wanted to do something with a winter squash, to get in the mood. After wading through my blogs, I finally put up a post on twitter asking for suggestions. One of the ideas that came my way from @modernemotive was a recipe for "pasta with pumpkin and sage brown butter" that immediately peaked my interest. I happened to be ordering groceries online for the next day, so added a pumpkin! I was already starting to foam at the mouth, I love pumpkin!
I have a certain affection for pumpkin. I love this time of year and what the fall season brings to our table. There is something about roasting a pumpkin that brings out all of its savory sweetness.
To top off my excitement for the pumpkin pasta recipe, it was from Donna Hay! This lady always knows how to make her food taste fantastic and look beautiful. Hats off to this Aussie, she's top notch.
The recipe went together with such ease, I can see this being a weeknight staple. Honestly, what more could you ask for, roasted pumpkin, sage brown butter and ribbon like pasta. It was divine! If you'd like to try this recipe, you can find it here.
